Outpost for Contemporary Art, the Northeast Los Angeles-based non-profit dedicated to promoting cross-cultural international exchanges through residencies and socially interactive programs, announced that Julie Deamer, the organization's founding executive director, has resigned effective July 1, 2011. Julie, who is a NAMAC Leadership Institute for Visual Arts Organizations fellow, Deamer will continue supporting under-recognized artists through her work as Executive Director of the Harpo Foundation, a position she has held since April 2009.
