TMS Fellow
TMS's Fellowship is at the core of The Modern Story's program in Hyderabad, India. We recruit dynamic individuals from top four-year institutions with strong backgrounds in creative technology and leadership skills. Our Fellows desire to be educators and demonstrate a strong interest in bridging the digital and educational divide on a global level. Fellows work as digital storytelling instructors at low income schools in the urban metropolis of Hyderabad. Additionally, Fellows structure and run workshops with local community organizations based in Southern India.
Building Curator
Elsewhere--a living museum and international residency program set in a former thrift store in downtown Greensboro--is seeking a Building Curator to join its curatorial team.
The ideal candidate has building, carpentry, and installation art production skills with an interest in creative preservation of a historic building. The building curator will assist Elsewhere's artists in expanding their creative concepts and site-specific work, operate a department that oversees the renovation, up-fit, and maintenance of Elsewhere’s building, and oversee the design and production of installations for special projects within the museum.
Communications Curator
Elsewhere--a living museum and international residency program set in a former thrift store in downtown Greensboro--is seeking a Communications Curator to join its creative team.
The ideal candidate is a skilled writer, storyteller, marketer, and visual designer who can translate Elsewhere's creative concepts and artistic projects to multiple audiences through a variety of online and print platforms. This curatorial position will synthesize artistic projects, events, and programming into communiques that drive national media attention, support artists, and increase local participation.
Programmer/Analyst
We seek a Programmer/Analyst with expertise in a number of languages to aid us with a project assessing a web-based ticketing system that interacts with both a hard wired POS system and a proprietary database. This position is a salaried, temporary position with an expected project timeframe of 4-6 weeks of full time work with the possibility of continued part time project based employment.
Seasonal Membership Coordinator, Celebrate Brooklyn! Performing Arts Festival
Reporting to the Development & Membership Manager, the Seasonal Membership Coordinator has a key role in bringing to life the relationship between our donor base and our world class performance festival through the annual Friends of Celebrate Brooklyn! membership campaign, which attracts upwards of 700 individuals and small businesses. This position is also significantly involved in putting on the Celebrate Brooklyn! Opening Night Gala, which is attended by 500 business and government decision-makers, community leaders, and individual donors. This is a temporary project-based position beginning February 1 and ending August 17, 2012.
Teaching Artist: Digital Animation
Changing Worlds, A dynamic educational arts organization seeks Candidates for teaching a combination of the arts, culture and literacy during after school programming. Our after school programs engage students in an exploration of culture through the arts making process with ample opportunities for students express their understandings in written form as well as through the arts. Our programs vary in length; however, this specific program involves about a 20 week commitment with one to one and half afternoon sessions twice a week. The Candidate for this position should be well versed and qualified in the art of animation with background knowledge in technology for the purposes of art. Additionally, the candidate must possess the ability to instruct students in the concepts of animation and verbalize methodologies to students. The person in this position prepares lesson plans, delivers instruction while reinforcing a positive learning climate, attends group meetings with other teaching artists and shares Changing Worlds’ philosophies on teaching and learning. The teaching artist works as a consultant of Changing Worlds.
Print Traffic Coordinator
The Print Traffic Coordinator, under the supervision of the Festival & Exhibitions Director, will manage print traffic for the 30th San Francisco International Asian American Film Festival (SFIAAFF), which takes place March 8 - 18, 2012. The Coordinator will work closely with the Festival Director to develop relationships with external print traffic coordinators, secure on time receipt of Festival films and videos, and arrange for timely shipping of prints and videos to their next destination.
Volunteer Coordinator
The Volunteer Coordinator recruits, selects, and manages all volunteer personnel for the 30th San Francisco International Asian American Film Festival (SFIAAFF), which takes place March 8 to 18, 2012. The Volunteer Coordinator schedules and places all personnel at festival venues to assist in such areas as: theater operations, merchandise sales, administration, membership solicitation, hospitality/guest services, and ticketing. The coordinator will also work directly with Special Events personnel to staff Festival receptions and events.
Guest Services and Travel Coordinator
The Guest Services and Travel Coordinator will be responsible for the efficient orchestration of all aspects of hospitality for local, national and international guests attending the 30th San Francisco International Asian American Film Festival (SFIAAFF) from March 8–18, 2012. The Coordinator will make travel and accommodation arrangements for guests of the Festival. The Coordinator should be detail oriented and have excellent organizational and communication skills. Position requires flexibility and hospitality experience. The Coordinator will act as “host” to Festival guests and staff a Guest Services Lounge.
