Only three weeks til we all see each other!
03 Aug 2009
NAMAC's 2009 conference is now just three weeks away.
Over two hundred of your colleagues have already registered. The buzz is
building as we gear up to come together to strategize for the future of media, arts and culture.
Haven't booked travel yet? The time is now. Airfares are still inexpenive, and discount rates at the conference hotel are guaranteed only through Wednesday, August 5.
Book now to secure the discount rate of $165 per night at the beautiful
Boston Park Plaza Hotel. The regular hotel rate is $216 if you miss this
deal.
Can't afford it? Travel stipends are still available to offset costs. NAMAC
members can apply now for a $250 reimbursement for conference travel
expenses. The application is brief; awards are made on a first-come,
first-served basis. We still have 28 stipends left to allocate, as of this writing. Click the Hotel/Travel page to download the application.
Not sure you're interested? Take a moment to check out the full slate of programming online via the Schedule page.
Highlights include: an opening plenary offering a state of the field,
"un-conference" Open Space discussions, and a Media and Arts Town Hall Meeting that will help set our community's advocacy priorities.
And, of course, an array of sessions on critical issues like arts as economic development, participatory media, and user-generated content, the future of public media, audience and revenue development in the digital age, the state of arts funding, social networks, arts and social change, and much more.
Join us for all the Big Think!
See you soon.
