Description
The art and practice of dialogue building is the act of engaging conflict with curiosity and compassion instead of distaste and anxiety. It's the act of transforming difficult conversations into better decisions, healthier work relationships, and stronger organizations. In this telesalon, we’ll explore these aspects of managing difficult conversation at work:
- What makes a difficult conversation effective and successful.
- Why avoidance can increase conflict and create unhealthy organizational dynamics.
- How to de-escalate hot-under-the-collar conversations.
- When to intervene and when to let staff work things out on their own.
- How to discuss life-altering conversations, including those related to downsizing and scaling back operations during a recession.
