Now, more than ever, nonprofit financial statements are being scrutinized and reviewed by board members, donors and other stake holders. Executive Directors and Board Treasures are expected not only to understand these important documents – but to help craft them in a way that maximizes transparency and tells their organization’s story.

This jargon-free high-level introduction to nonprofit statements will provide attendees with the basic understanding they need to evaluate their organization’s statements and provide specific tips and suggestions for improving financial communication – for audited and unaudited statements.

Jennifer will walk you through nonprofit accounting both in general and specifically in relation to your organization’s statements. Attendees will have an opportunity to ask questions and are invited to have their statements with them as a practical and useful reference tool that will allow you to maximize the knowledge gained and immediately begin applying the skills learned.

Jennifer Lammers is a nationally respected financial and management trainer and principal consultant at The Philanthropy Hub.

• The teleconference salon will be recorded in MP3 format and available for download on the NAMAC website. Participation in the salon implies consent for your voice to be recorded and distributed in this manner.
