Aurora Picture Show
Aurora Picture Show (Aurora) presents moving images that extend the possibilities of film and video making. Aurora advocates media arts as a democratic tool for communication, education and personal expression, with the unique ability to be accessed and appreciated across cultural and economic borders.
Since 1998, Aurora has exhibited innovative films and videos by both regional and international artists, and has been recognized for its efforts in such publications as LA Times, MovieMaker Magazine, Art in America, The Independent, The Houston Chronicle, Houston Press and on the nationally broadcast PBS television series, Egg the Arts Show. Aurora is supported by its membership base, The Andy Warhol Foundations for the Visual Arts, the Houston Arts Alliance, Texas Commission on the Arts, and Houston Endowment, Inc.
