National Film Board of Canada
The National Film Board of Canada has been producing
and distributing films for over sixty years, and has become
particularly well known for its insightful documentaries and creative
animation films. The NFBC has made more than 10,000 original films,
which have won more than 3,000 prizes including ten Academy Awards. In
1989, the NFBC received an Honorary Academy Award in "recognition of
its fiftieth anniversary and its dedicated activity to original
artistic, creative and technological activity and excellence in every
area of filmmaking."
