Center for Independent Documentary

Center for Independent Documentary (CID) is a non-profit organization dedicated exclusively to collaborating with independent filmmakers, offering assistance and support in bringing their films to completion. We can act as fiscal sponsor, manage project funds, provide technical and creative support, and provide other services.

The mission of The Center for Independent Documentary is defined in four ways: to focus the organization's resources around the production and distribution of high-quality documentaries about contemporary social concerns; to bring to audiences important new perspectives on contemporary issues; to collaborate with producers from the fertile and creative pool of independent media artists; and, to promote understanding and appreciation of the alternative and wide-ranging values and points of view embodied in the work of independent media artists.
