A Note From Our Open Space Facilitator

Thank you everyone for welcoming me into your community. I leave this conference with new knowledge and a passion to support all that NAMAC represents. I now see myself as a “budding advocate” and “future lobbyist” speaking more clearly about the need for public programming, positive media, investment in arts, technology and media, support of youth and diversity. The best of all are the stories that I heard and the people that I met. I can now speak from the heart as I engage others in the NAMAC dialogue. As a community you have much to offer – your passion, your values, your creativity, drive and energy. As I reflect on my time with you, I feel that it will require a generosity of spirit to understand that in all the angry voices we hear out there right now, we will only succeed in our mission of ONE COMMUNITY when we see where we are alike and not different. A mighty task I know but not impossible. If you liked Open Space, let me know as this is what feeds MY passion.
