Regional Gathering Format:
Using an Appreciative Inquiry framework to exchange examples of “times we were at our best,” the regional gatherings sought to validate and inspire participants’ individual and collective understanding of the positive core of the media arts. In advance of each regional gathering, media arts leaders were given a worksheet and asked to reflect on their peak experiences in the media arts. During the gathering, participants spent time in pairs interviewing each other about these life experiences, and then reported highlights to the full group. Each session culminated with a full group reflection on key themes or values that emerged from the stories.
This web area and full report are a synthesis of what was learned during all four sessions.
