Manager of Youth Programs & Outreach
Manhattan Neighborhood Network’s newly renovated state-of-the-art facility, the MNN El Barrio Firehouse Community Media Center, opened in early 2012. Located in East Harlem, the Center is dedicated to training community producers and youth in television, video, audio and other media, providing access to production equipment and services, and assisting in the production of programming that gives voice to grassroots communities, ideas, and concerns.
The Manager of Youth Programs & Outreach is responsible for the development of educational programs for youth and related outreach activities. S/he oversees day-to-day activities and manages timelines, resources, and schedules for all projects.
Multimedia Teacher
Vision Education & Media (VEM) is a growing company that provides fun and creative after-school programs to youth in technology and multimedia. Our cutting edge use of technology allows students to create projects that are personally meaningful to them, from building and programming LEGO robots to designing video games and stop motion animations.
VEM is seeking part-time teachers who are available to teach in our summer program, which runs from 12:30pm – 3pm Monday – Thursday from July 9 - August 9. Our teachers help middle school youth make LEGO robots, video games, and stop motion animations.
Communications and Social Media Strategist
The IWMF seeks Communications and Social Media Strategist. The position calls for an experienced individual responsible for developing and implementing an effective media and communications plan to increase the visibility of and to strategically advance the IWMF’s advocacy, programs and events. Social media experience, attention to details and excellent writing skills are a requirement. Associate Producer, Youth, Arts & Culture
Hands on and head first! That’s what the Associate Producer we’re looking to hire should expect at Brooklyn Independent Television, a division of BRIC Arts | Media | Bklyn. This is an opportunity to create media that focusses on the people who make our community one of the most dynamic art scenes in the world.
Reporting to a Senior Producer, the Associate Producer will take part in every aspect of the programs he or she helps to create, from pitching a story to postproduction. Those programs primarily cover art, culture, and youth media in the borough, but may include other content areas as well.
Digital Arts Coordinator
AS220 Youth is a free arts education program serving young people 14-20, with a special focus on those in the care and custody of the State. We maintain formal partnerships with the RI Training School, a juvenile detention facility, and UCAP middle school.
The Digital Arts Coordinator will design and implement AS220 Youth’s technology program, called the Fabratory. The Fabratory includes 2D and 3D design, video game development, and computer competency.

The Program and Member Services Manager oversees all NAMAC programs and manages NAMAC's membership. This position develops and implements programs that support the organizations capacity of NAMAC members and strengthens their connection to regional and national networks.

PBS Decides to Showcase Indie Work
Responding to an outpouring of filmmaker and viewer enthusiasm for Independent Lens and POV, PBS has reinstated the two programs on its core schedule. The two programs will now take the 10pm EST spot on Monday nights, prime TV programming real estate.
